Thank him for everything

-

“PRAISE the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” — Psalm 103:1-5

You must live in gratitude in all the days of your life. Make it a habit to thank God. Praise and thanksgiving are the easiest prayers for God to come down for you.

Count your blessings and name them one by one. He knows He showers you with many blessings, hence the need to count one after the other. Take time to reflect and thank the Almighty for your life. We have friends, families and people around us who stand by us. These relationships are priceless.

Having people who love, help and are always there for you is enough for you to say: “Thank you, Lord”.

Most importantly, we praise God for giving us Jesus, our precious Lord and Saviour. Without Jesus, there would be no salvation and no way to reunite with our Creator.

We thank God for giving us the Holy Spirit, who is our comforter. After going through pain and tears, we wonder how we recovered, how our broken and bleeding hearts were healed. We wonder how He managed to turn our wailing into dancing.

Look back and reflect on the Israelites. They

never imagined that one day they would eat manna but meat rained from heaven. For long, they had suffered and their food only came after sweat. Similarly, they never imagined God would part the Red Sea for them to pass through while their enemies were in hot pursuit, hoping to kill them when they got stuck.

Indeed, “Bless the Lord, and forget not all His benefits.” — Psalm 103:1-5
