Greatness operating system

the centre AT of all computer processes is an operating system (OS).

- Hunt for Greatness Milton Kamwendo

THE system manages the computer hardware resources and provides a platform of common services for other programmes. Popular examples of operating systems are Android, Windows, Linux, MacOS and Ubuntu. Greatness, likewise, has an operating system. Once this is installed, it runs mental, physical and other cognitive processes in your life.

Your mindset is the greatness OS that determines what you do, how you process information and your experience of life. If things are not working in your life, check your mindset and dominant core beliefs. Unless you change your OS, your execution and computing will be limited. To unleash your greatness, start at being intentional about the thoughts you dwell on and the way you process information.

The basic purpose of an OS is to offer an effective platform to all the users so that they can conveniently execute all types of programmes. It is also defined as a software piece that does all the allocation work. It coordinates with your computer hardware to ensure the ideal working of a computer system or to prevent the user from any type of interference.

An OS controls and allocates computing resources and memory, and manages devices and all types of processors. The OS offers valuable services to programmes and coordinates their execution. It also hides all complexities of a software, while it provides a user-friendly interface to all the users. The five most important functions of an OS are: memory management, device management, process management, resource management and job accounting. Your mindset operates in the same manner.

Abundance mindset

You become what you focus on. If you allow your mind to dwell on shortage, scarcity, lack or deprivation, you will compute and create more of it.

Your mindset will determine what you see and give attention to. You will go where your dominant attention goes. Challenging times call for a can-do and abundance mindset to evolve creative solutions. Change starts in the mind. Until your mind changes, very little changes. When you are obsessed with scarcity, you stop seeing opportunities that are near your nose. Scarcity thinking warps your thinking and drains your energy pump.

Focus mindset

Focus is power. The key to execution is disciplined focus. Whatever you focus on will determine what inspires and moves you. While the right focus will not solve every problem that you can enumerate, it will move you progressively towards the solutions you need.

You may be familiar to the old story of a donkey tied to a stump for a long time. Even when the rope is removed from the stump, the donkey continues to think that it is tied. So, it is with your mindset. You may think you are tied when you are not. Your limitations are in your mind. It is the freedom within you that you must focus on.

Unless you change your dominant focus, very little happening outside you will ever change. You cannot afford a distracted mindset. Stop focusing on other people as your source of problems. Focus on what you can do or influence.

Opportunity mindset

There is an opportunity everywhere. If you cannot see it, that does not mean it does not exist. Let the opportunity mindset dominate your thinking and action. Spot opportunities everywhere where others see problems, obstacles and limitations.

You are not a prisoner of your past or your conditions. Let your mind dwell on opportunity and not shortage. This instant is your moment of abundant opportunity. There are opportunities you are stepping on now that will never come again. Embrace them. Start seeing them and your life will never be the same again. Opportunities multiply as you notice and use them. If you are not looking for an opportunity, you may never find it. If you have concluded in your mind that the opportunities are finished, you risk being mentally finished.

Your loss, adversity and current situation contain your best opportunities. Valley seasons help you see opportunities more clearly than mountain-top experiences. Your worst nightmare could be your best opportunity. Adversities are blessings in disguise. Do not be frightened by disguises and shadows.

If you do not know the value of the opportunities you have, you will always operate at a discount and below your potential. Look around, and you will gradually start to see a pattern. There is greatness everywhere and your prepared opportunities are waiting for you to show up. Never let the current situations discourage you from seeing the wide opportunity canvas before you.

Potential mindset

You have abundant potential. Zig Ziglar, the motivational guru who started his career selling pots and pans, once said: “You were designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with the seeds of greatness.”

You were designed for greatness. There is no one like you and there will never be anyone like you. You were engineered for great exploits beyond your wildest dreams.

Stop living below your potential and your calling in life. You are called to amazing greatness. Start thinking in terms of your potential, not your shortage, limitations, conditions and scarcity. You are only limited if you accept limitation as your mindset.

In you are seeds of greatness. Seeds are living things with awesome and exponential potential. In every seed, there is a promise of a forest. You can count the number of seeds in a fruit, but not the number of fruits in a seed.

You have unlimited potential and this reality should scare you out of your slumber. You are worth more than you care to know. You have potential that would scare you if you could awake to this reality. Your current circumstances are not a sentence to oblivion. You have great potential.

Action mindset

Take resolute and abundant action, and you will stir the giant that is in you. You are not defeated until you accept defeat. Your spirit is unconquerable, unless you give up and lose hope. How can you lose hope when an abundant future awaits you with arms open and loaded with blessings beyond your dreams?

Fill your life now with abundant action. Take small and big action. Take action and persist, knowing that abundance is your birthright. You may be down but you are not defeated. Rise and take action.

There is abundant greatness all around you. Change your thinking and you change your life. What is happening in your mind is more important than what is happening anywhere else.
