Angry man strips naked, grills kitten

- B-Metro

ACHIKANGA man stripped himself naked and gruesomely killed two kittens as he accused his brother-in-law of sleeping with his wife. Before running amok, Fungai Maudzi invited our news crew to rush to his brotherin-law Lloyd Mwashusha’s place in Chikanga Acid to witness the reallife drama.

Maudzi and Mwashusha’s wives are sisters. Maudzi had been accusing Mwashusha of sleeping with his wife and being a wizard.

When the news crew arrived at the scene, Maudzi’s car was parked at Mwashusha’s gate.

His underwear and the dead kittens were just outside the gate. It is alleged the naked Maudzi roasted one of the kittens with the intention of eating it.

However, police arrived at the scene and whisked him off to Chikanga Police Station.

Witnesses said before his arrest, Maudzi had gone on a rampage and destroyed property while demanding to see Mwashusha.

Regina Mwashusha — Lloyd’s mother, who was clearing the garbage that had been strewn all over the yard during the incident — said she was traumatised, as Maudzi had killed the kittens with his bare hands.

“Our cat recently had four kittens and I think he killed all of them because we cannot locate them. However, only two carcasses have been found,” she said.

“As he killed the kittens, he claimed they were my son’s goblins that he was using to harm him so that he could freely sleep with his wife.

“He killed the kittens in front of everyone who had gathered to witness the incident. He was pacing up and down in his birthday suit. He lit a fire and roasted one of the kittens. He was only stopped by the police.”

The elderly woman said they locked themselves inside the house, while Lloyd fled to call the police, leaving Maudzi and his wife outside.

In an interview, Lloyd said it all started when Maudzi visited his wife, who had sought refuge at their place after a marital dispute.

“He acted like a possessed man when he came here. He had come to see his wife, but we later heard them quarrelling. I went to them and told them to take their quarrel outside our yard. He then went berserk. He charged towards me and I took to my heels. He jumped into his car and drove after me. I escaped after scaling a neighbour’s precast wall, as he was determined to run over me,” he said.

“I rushed to the police station and when we came back with the officers, Maudzi was walking along the road stark naked while holding the dead kittens.”

He said when the police tried to arrest him, Maudzi demanded they wait for the arrival of The Manica Post.

“He told us that The Manica Post news crew was coming as he had invited them to witness the drama. He said our humiliation was imminent. However, we have nothing to hide,” added Lloyd.

“He is the one who is suffering from spiritual torment. He should just get help because when he is okay, he is a very nice person. We were in good books before this incident.

“We have heard from his wife that when such spiritual attacks happen, Maudzi goes on the rampage . . .”

Efforts to contact Maudzi were fruitless as his phone was switched off. — Manica Post

Debtor beaten up, paraded naked

A man who allegedly assaulted his debtor before stripping and frog marching him to the shops, where he allegedly ordered him to dance while naked, has appeared in court. Mitchel Shaba from Northend suburb appeared before a Bulawayo magistrate on assault and kidnapping charges.

He was not asked to plead and was remanded out of custody. It is alleged that sometime in July this year, Bothwell Chimbunde (51) borrowed US$50 from Shaba’s wife.

Chimbunde, however, later fell ill and was admitted to a hospital. He was discharged sometime in August this year.

Last month, he went to Shaba’s home and paid US$20 before leaving for his home. That did not go down well with Shaba, who followed him after a couple of minutes and complained bitterly over his failure to repay his debt in full. In a fit of rage, he thrashed him with a belt and slapped him all over the body, the court heard.

After that, he allegedly took his blanket, flash disc, health card and indemnity card.

As if that was not enough, he allegedly grabbed him by his neck before ordering him to strip naked.

He then frog marched him to Northend shops, where he allegedly forced him to dance naked in full view of imbibers and shoppers.

After the humiliating act, Chimbunde went to the police and reported the matter, leading to Shaba’s arrest. — **********

Herdboy rapes goat to death

In a shocking case of bestiality, a 43-year-old herdboy from Togotsvebo village in Mphoengs, Matabeleland South province, confessed to his “sadistic sexual interest” in animals when he was charged with raping two goats, one of which died during the act.

Appearing before a Plumtree magistrate, Njabulo Moyo pleaded guilty to bestiality, as defined in Section 74 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, Chapter 9:23.

He was, however, saved from a stint behind bars when he was ordered to pay a US$200 fine, failure of which he would have spent one month in prison. In addition, two months were suspended for five years on condition he does not commit the same offence.

During trial, Moyo told the court that he did not know what came over him.

“I do not know what was happening; I just found myself doing it with the goats . . . I am sorry for what I did,” he said.

The magistrate, however, described Moyo’s act as “grotesque cruelty”.

It is the State’s case that on October 1, around 3am, Michael Ncube woke up to the sounds of barking dogs and bleating goats.

He proceeded to the goat pen to investigate what was happening. To his horror, he saw Moyo being intimate with one of his does.

Ncube confronted Moyo, but the latter threatened and ordered the former to leave.

Ncube complied. However, around 6am, Ncube went to the goat pen, where he discovered that two of his does had been sexually abused. The dead doe had some some semen on its rear, an indication it had been abused.

He then advised his neighbours, who helped him track a trail of footprints from the goat pen.

It led them to Moyo’s place.

They then apprehended the culprit and took him to the police. — B-Metro
