Simple frozen chicken stew

ON occasion, you find that you really want to cook chicken but it is frozen, so what do you do? This scrumptiou­s recipe makes it possible to still go ahead with your chicken dish even if the meat is frozen.

Ingredient­s

One kg frozen mixed chicken portions;

Two tablespoon­s oil;

One teaspoon salt; One-and-a-half paprika (spice);

One medium onion, chopped; Half medium green pepper, chopped;

Three large tomatoes, grated; Three tablespoon­s BBQ sauce;

AS we reflect on the year 2023, we give thanks to God for His grace.

The Bible, in Psalm 136:1, tells us: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”

Through the ups and downs of life, we can take comfort in knowing that God is always with us and He has a plan for our lives.

This year, we saw God’s faithfulne­ss in many ways.

As 2023 comes to a close, we look back on a year that has been filled with both challenges and blessings. But through it all, one thing that has remained constant is God’s faithfulne­ss.

Whether we have experience­d personal hardships or corporate successes, God has been with us every step of the way.

Directions

1. Get your ingredient­s together.

Put oil into a pot and add the frozen chicken pieces.

2. Add salt and paprika. Fry on medium-high heat until the chicken begins to brown.

3. Add the onion and green pepper. Fry for another three minutes.

4. Add the tomatoes and BBQ sauce.

Mix and allow to cook for a further three to four minutes.

5. Add the water, mix and close the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a gentle simmer.

Simmer until the liquid is greatly reduced and the stew thickens. Taste for seasoning and adjust accordingl­y. Enjoy! — Zimbokitch­en
