Entrepreneur of the Week

-

THIS week, we shine a light on Dr Divine Ndhlukula (pictured), an entrepreneur who entered a male-dominated industry and built a security empire in Zimbabwe.

Her story is one of grit, determination and a passion for empowering others.

In 1999, Dr Ndhlukula launched SECURICO from her kitchen table, with a vision to revolutionise the security landscape in Zimbabwe.

Facing scepticism and prejudice in a field traditionally reserved for men, she persevered, building a reputation for innovation, excellence and ethical practices.

Today, SECURICO is a diversified security services and systems company employing thousands of people.

It is the first ISO-certified security company in Zimbabwe, and its reach extends beyond the borders, operating in South Africa and Botswana.

Dr Ndhlukula’s leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious Africa Awards.

Her impact extends far beyond the security industry. Dr Ndhlukula’s journey is a testament to the power of belief, resilience and a commitment to ethical business practices. She is a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women, showing them that breaking barriers and achieving success is possible, even in challenging environments.

Early this month, Dr Ndhlukula launched her debut book “Entrepreneurial Success: Insights on Growing Business in a Fluid Economy”.

The book launch was attended by prominent figures, including renewables entrepreneur Prechard Mhako, author Petinah Gappah and business leaders Chipo Mtasa and Gloria Zvaravanhu.
