THE people of Mashonaland East are revelling in developmental projects driven by the Second Republic and will forever remain grateful to President Mnangagwa for his vision, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for the province Aplonia Munzverengwi has said.
Speaking at a thank you rally hosted by Marondera West ZANU PF legislator Cde Godwin Tavaziva after his triumph in the August 2023 harmonised elections, Minister Munzverengwi thanked the President for championing development in the province.
“His Excellency built us several in the province, such as Muchekeranwa and
Chivhu dams, which are benefitting hundreds of families through irrigation.
“In terms of roads, we are happy that our major roads that link the province to other areas have been revamped, such as the Hwedza Road and a stretch of the Harare-Masvingo-Beitbridge Road, which is also in our province,” she said.
Addressing the gathering, ZANU PF Mashonaland East provincial chairperson Cde Daniel Garwe lauded President Mnangagwa for his development-oriented policies.
“President Mnangagwa is our best foot forward . . . he is the one who has made us to build our country through Vision 2030 so that when we achieve that milestone, there will be no hunger in the country, there will be no road that will be unnavigable, no children will fail to go to school — sanctions or no sanctions,” he said.
“He has given us the drive to build our country on our own, through the mantra nyika inovakwa nevene vayo . . . Let’s pray for our leader so that he can be with us in 2030.” ◆ Read more on: www.sundaymail.co.zw
