Tuesday
Political Consultative Conference, Cde Jiang Xinzhi, arrived in the country on Monday on an official visit that is expected to see him meet President Mnangagwa today.
The 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference is the current meeting of the top political advisory body of China and is a central part of the CCP’s united front system.

China stands ready to support Zimbabwe for the total removal of Western sanctions, the defence of its sovereignty and pursuit of strategic security interests, visiting Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s senior official and Vice Chairperson of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Cde Jiang Xinzhi, said on Tuesday.

President Mnangagwa has said Zimbabwe is realising the fruits of its relations with Russia, a global powerhouse in maize, wheat and fertiliser production, which significantly contributes to world food security. He was speaking in Harare on Wednesday after receiving a consignment of 25 000 tonnes of wheat and 23 000 tonnes of fertiliser donated to Zimbabwe by Russia.

President Mnangagwa on Thursday rallied Zimbabweans to cherish their rich liberation history and remain united to conquer challenges facing the country, as he officially commissioned the Pupu Battlefield Memorial Site in Lupane, Matabeleland North province, a towering symbol of anti-colonial resilience.
