ICAZ launches blazer, membership card
IN an effort to come together and be identified as a group that shares the same values, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe (ICAZ) has come up with a member’s blazer.
This blazer is exclusively for Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe, CA (Z) and Articled Accountant Zimbabwe (AAZ) and will be worn during ICAZ functions
During the launch at a recent Christmas party, the ICAZ president Gloria Zvaravanhu said the members should be proud of their profession and be recognised as such by wearing the jacket.
At the same event a membership card was also launched.
The ICAZ membership card was created in an effort to serve members.
“This card will open some doors and reduce some costs and may this be of benefit to you Chartered Accountants,” Zvaravanhu said.
She applauded the professionals for remaining resolute despite liquidity challenges that affected everyone across the country.
“As an Institute we have not been spared these challenges, currently we are experiencing cash flow constraints,” ICAZ president said.
In light of these hardships she urged members to support the Institute by paying their subscriptions.
“Members are the lifeblood of the Institute. Therefore, in order for the Institute to be able to discharge its mandate, the need for your support cannot be overemphasised,” she said. On another note, the Institute is embarking on a number of corporate partnerships for the year 2017, with any organisation wishing to market their products and services.
“We continue to call upon all members as captains of industry in your various capacities to support this endeavour to enable both your organisations and ICAZ to grow,” said Zvaravanhu.
As part of ITS Corporate Social Responsibility, ICAZ recently donated desks, chairs and some stationary to Muchinjike Secondary school in Murewa.
Meanwhile, the Council has approved the holding of its inaugural summer school in November 2017. This is in an effort to reach out to members, creating greater interaction among members. The winter school will continue to be conducted during the month of July and the summer school will be held .
