Comma Byron by Eloise Fotheringham

-

Located in Byron Bay, Comma is an independent project by designer Eloise Fotheringham, who usually works with Sydney-based practice Hare and Klein. Conceived as a “modern Australian massage space,” the design uses soft lighting, raw materials and muted tones to achieve a sense of calm to complement the therapies on offer. The furniture, fixtures and joinery are all Australian made, as are the skincare treatments. Fotheringham chose lighting from Spence and Lyda and Addition Studio and objects and furniture from Studio Henry Wilson and Armadillo and Co. As Susie Mcintosh, owner of Comma, says, “Comma, as our name implies, stands for taking a moment to breathe, regenerate, find calm, and begin again.”
