Architect’s Warehouse by Idle Architecture Studio
Idle Architecture Studio has converted a run-down, 1930s malting warehouse in Melbourne’s Cremorne into its own workspace called Architect’s Warehouse. The practice aimed to retain the essential character of the old warehouse while creating an adaptable, open-plan office. Existing brickwork, original roof trusses and industrial doors were restored, while new elements were thoughtfully inserted, ensuring continuation of the rich, textured interior. Expansive windows frame outside views and let in natural light. Photography — Hilary Bradford
