Nineteen at the Star by Mim Design
Overlooking the South Pacific Ocean, the Gold Coast’s Nineteen at the Star combines a fine dining restaurant, club and bar with a vanishing-edge pool. The design, by Melbourne interior design practice Mim Design, creates subtle distinctions between different spaces. In the lobby, vertical glazing and brass panels frame views to the horizon, and in the restaurant, rich emerald green complements a matt-black open kitchen. An elegant ribbon staircase gently directs guests to the private dining room and VIP lounge on the mezzanine level, where a subtle change to deep mulberry and cognac hues in the interior contributes to a sense of exclusivity. Curtains can be drawn to segregate the space further.
