A collection inspired by liquid

Cosentino has announced Liquid, its 2020 Dekton collection release designed by Patternity.

Cosentino presents the Liquid Collection by Patternity for Dekton, the state-of-theart, ultra-compact large format surface. Designed by London-based pattern experts and designers Patternity, in collaboration with Cosentino’s design team, the 2020 collection offers three new innovative colours, first previewed at Design Miami in December 2019. Taking over the Collectors Lounge at Design Miami, the highly conceptual installation showcased an original concept for Dekton in three new colours.

Cosentino commissioned pattern experts and designers Anna Murray and Grace Winteringham of Patternity to create a collection for Dekton that reflects the state-of-the-art material. Inspired by liquid, each of the individual colours are aesthetically innovative and, as a collection, touch on the future of global trends. True to the Patternity ethos, the collection’s concept centres around the beauty of nature, environmental awareness and celebrating sustainable design practice.

The collection introduces three new colours – Liquid Sky, Liquid Shell and Liquid Embers. The Liquid Collection visualizes and makes tangible the power of liquid, offering a chance to integrate swirling, rippling and fluid ideas into everyday spaces.

Liquid Sky is a swirling, marbled, cloud-like pattern that celebrates the scientific principles of fluid dynamics. Its unique characteristics consist of a white base with flowing grey veins. Liquid Shell celebrates subtlety and softness, honouring what lies beneath the waves in the ocean. And Liquid Embers represents a meeting point between fire and liquid, a space which lies deep beneath the earth’s surface.
