Monash Business School Alumni Centre by BKK Architects
◄ The Monash Business School Alumni Centre, designed by BKK Architects, is a hybrid education space in Melbourne’s CBD conceived as a “third space,” intentionally blurring the boundary between work, living and learning. A workspace for staff and students, as well as a space for professional development education, the facility is intended to act as a catalyst for engagement between the university and industry. It features a range of flexible zones that can perform as workspaces, educational spaces and even a bar and lounge. All areas are considered as opportunities for informal learning and knowledge sharing. A key driving factor for the design was to acknowledge its location at the top end of Collins Street. The design amplifies its uniquely elevated position, tucked between the Melbourne Club garden and a 70s sawtooth facade, and its detailing and materials provide a timeless, crafted feel.
