Energy office by Groupgsa

An established energy provider sought to create a benchmark workplace and an empowering office culture. In designing the space, Groupgsa observed the way energy manifests in nature and conceptualized a story about “lightning storms across rural Australia.” The practice collaborated with local Indigenous artist Lucy Simpson, a Yuwaalaraay woman belonging to the freshwater country of the Walgett Lightning Ridge and Angledool areas of north-west New South Wales. The design team worked with Simpson to thread environmental graphics throughout the interiors, from soft furnishings to wall murals, weaving a narrative about the timeless cycle of new life that begins with a lightning strike to the earth.
