July by One Design Office

▲ One Design Office (ODO) has collaborated with the travel brand July for several years, having previously designed its first luggage range and its first pop-up store. ODO felt that July’s flagship store, in Melbourne’s QV precinct, needed to balance the playfulness of the brand with a statement of maturity, permanence and refinement. Ergonomics and function are at the core of the space, with the hero being a tiered steel benchtop that optimizes the luggage viewing experience, a customizable softgoods display system and an integrated lighting scheme that brings the product to life. All of this is set against a monolithic, continuous stone wall, which acts as a canvas to the product.

The space includes an amphitheatrestyle seating area for product launches and an open, flexible floor plan.
