Studio by Fable Studio

◥ Hybrid design practice Make Creative recently rebranded as Studio Fable and designed a new studio space. Situated on a hidden street in inner Sydney, the studio is a reflection of Fable’s practice – intimate and playful. Originally a windowless basement, the new space is flooded with natural light, vibrancy and texture.

Custom-designed plywood joinery works as a counterpoint to the textural stone walls, which were retained during demolition. A small model making space is tucked into the rear of the studio, which is furnished with sculptural furniture.

Based in Sydney and led by Frenchaustralian Antonia Pesenti, Studio Fable focuses on the intersection of architecture, interiors, graphics and picture books. Antonia’s multidisciplinary experience in Paris and Sydney has allowed the practice to take on a wide range of projects – from interiors through to public art, book commissions and large-scale graphic installations.
