▼ For the showroom of Brisbane architectural hardware supplier Spiggy, Alcorn Middleton has designed a sophisticated space enveloped in a pink hue, where the high-end hardware is presented as if it were fine jewellery. A minimalist, layered approach to product offerings ensures customers are not overwhelmed on arrival, with just enough product displayed in a variety of ways, and at differing levels and depths, to intrigue. Concave recesses along the rear wall frame featured products sitting atop circular plinths, lit from above. More door handles and other hardware are revealed behind cupboard doors and in drawers. And in the centre of the space, a curved threetiered island is a generous, uninterrupted display, which can also serve as patron seating for evening talks and events.
