Poho Double Bay by Akin Atelier
◤ Drawing inspiration from ephemeral land artists Andy Goldsworthy and Robert Smithson, Akin Atelier has designed an immersive space for Poho Flowers’ new store in Double Bay – a place to experience, linger and observe. On entry, a trio of lamps along a softly combed, rendered wall creates a sense of arrival. Past the concierge welcome, a consult lounge is a space to reflect and observe while developing a personalized floral brief. The customer then enters the floral circle, with flowers framed as sculptures within a ceremonial plinth. Immersed in flowers, as if in a wild meadow, the customer can handpick their selection. Then the experience moves to the workspace, where the customer is encouraged to observe the art of floral composition.
