Autore Moda flagship by Alex Morrison Interiors

◄ Designed for a luxury jewellery brand that specializes in pearls, this Double Bay boutique evokes a clamshell’s curved, rosy interior. The brief called for a resort-like escape that was more lounge than store, so Alex Morrison Interiors delivered layers of minimalist shapes in pink and terracotta.

When entering the space, customers are immersed in calm. Plastered Marmorino walls and velvet fabrics surround jewellery displays of pink marble, brass detailing and Venetian plaster. Curved, hand-finished columns separate the window displays, which are illuminated by antique Murano sconces: a tribute to the Italian heritage of founder Ruby Autore. The shell-like alcove is lined with a curved velvet banquette and scattered with pearl-like cushions. Photography — Dave Wheeler
