This month sees the climax of three of the BBC’S most popular cookery competitions. On BBC One, Masterchef finalists may miss the opportunity to fly to a culinary hotspot, but they do get to cook at Le Gavroche for The Chef’s Table. Great British Menu’s contenders still produce the most extraordinary food on BBC Two, and the speedy Ready Steady Cook chefs on BBC One conjure up miraculous doable dishes from the simplest of ingredients.
