What’s cooking on the BBC this month

-

Competitive cooking

This month sees the climax of three of the BBC’S most popular cookery competitions. On BBC One, Masterchef finalists may miss the opportunity to fly to a culinary hotspot, but they do get to cook at Le Gavroche for The Chef’s Table. Great British Menu’s contenders still produce the most extraordinary food on BBC Two, and the speedy Ready Steady Cook chefs on BBC One conjure up miraculous doable dishes from the simplest of ingredients. You can watch them all on BBC iplayer.

Get growing!

Monty Don and the Gardeners’ World team are back every Friday at 8.30pm on BBC Two and BBC iplayer with an hour’s worth of inspiration and advice. If you’re planning to grow your own veg, follow Sue Kent as she transforms her allotment with the help of Joe Swift. The programme will be featuring viewers’ gardening videos – to find out more, go to bbc.co.uk. The programme’s experts solve listeners’ problems on Gardeners’ Question Time at 3pm on BBC Radio 4 and on BBC Sounds. Need advice? Email gqt@bbc.co.uk.
