Alkebulan Dining Hall is set to open in London in 2023 – the finalised date is to be announced – and promises a groundbreaking celebration of food from across Africa.

‘Alkebulan’ is the ancient name for Africa, meaning ‘mother of mankind’ or ‘garden of Eden’. The project is being curated by award-winning chef James Beard and author Alexander

Smalls, and the aim is to showcase chefs of the African diaspora. “We look forward to bringing its diverse and spectacular culinary palates to the forefront,” says Alexander.
