A classic in every sense, the LMC-1 represented a watershed moment in the world of plugins, as its release signified that the big boys were indeed taking the world of desktop production very seriously indeed. LMC-1 is a clone of the Listen Mic Compressor found on Solid State Logic’s legendary E-Series mixing consoles. Never meant for recording, it nevertheless became a favourite among producers for its ability to track the live room, most famously called upon as the source for the infamous gated reverb sounds of the 80s.
