One of the biggest challenges in workplaces in the digital age is finding a way to foster team spirit and encourage staff to interact. One way to do that is to create areas in the office that, according to Wilkhahn, “surprise, arouse curiosity and are attractive in the long term.” Debuted at Orgatec 2018, Wilkhahn’s Sitzbock is a playful stool fashioned after a pony. It was designed by German studio RSW. One can sit astride, side-saddle or simply lean on it. Weighing just 4.8 kilograms, the pommel horse seat can be easily arranged and rearranged in a ‘herd’ for spontaneous meet-ups. Up to four Sitzbock seats can be stacked crosswise. Sitzbock is available in four colours and can be placed outdoors for a short time, making it ideal for events. Need extra comfort? Give it a non-slip felt ‘saddle blanket’, also available in four colours.
