Timeless Pop Culture

-

History was one the prominent threads of discussion during our Milan In Review evening (read about it on page 154). We saw a crop of reissued or reinterpreted classics at the Salone del Mobile. One of our favourites was Montana’s reissue of Verner Panton’s 1971 Pantonova. This modular wire seating has a special place in pop culture having appeared in the 1977 James Bond movie

The Spy Who Loved Me, but its appeal is timeless. This year, Montana re-issued the iconic chair for today’s seating landscape in three updated modules – Linear, Concave and Convex – which can be freely combined to create organic seating formations. The cushions are available in a wide range of fabrics from Kvadrat. In Singapore, Montana is available from P5 Studio.
