FLOS revolutionised modular lighting systems with Michael Anastassiades’ Arrangements collection last year. This year, the brand (now banding together with Louis Poulsen and B&B Italia under the banner of Design Holding) expanded on the idea of flexible lighting systems with several new products, including the Boroullec Brothers’ Belt range. Flexibility was one of the themes that emerged in the offerings in Milan this year (read more in our Milan In Review recap article on page 154) and Belt is the perfect embodiment of the concept. The lighting system consists of soft leather elements, some serving as connectors and some embedded with LED beam light sources and becoming rigid. All the elements hang from ‘buckles’ and can be assembled in a potentially endless line. In Singapore, Flos is available through Space Furniture, P5 and Royal Interiors.
