There is growing evidence that sedentary behaviours – such as sitting in the office or on the couch – are linked to diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other chronic conditions. A new study from the University of Glasgow, published in BMC Medicine, found for every two hours sitting, the risk of dying from any cause is two times greater in people with lower grip strength than those with a higher grip.
