Feeling the heat. Burnout is coming on strong. Managing your diabetes is affecting your emotions and you might notice that your diabetes management is starting to slide.

But, obsessing about your diabetes may only add to the burden. Instead, try to set realistic expectatio­ns for what you can accomplish on a day-to-day basis. Talk with your doctor or diabetes educator to set clear, reasonable and reachable goals, and to outline small steps you can take to work towards them. And remember, you are not alone. Ask for support when you need it.
