“It’s too late to improve your memory in your 60s and 70s.”

-

IN FACT: It’s not too late, even if you’ve already noted the odd memory glitch. On top of research linking regular physical activity with better memory among older adults, a 2016 study found when people aged over 68 living with mild cognitive impairment ate a cup of antioxidant-rich blueberries every day, after four months their memory and word recall had significantly improved.

TO MAKE IT WORK: Use frozen blueberries rather than fresh ones. As well as being less costly, research shows freezing them improves the availability of their antioxidants.
