After eight years of research, scientists from the UK’s University of Leeds and University of Dundee have discovered drugs developed to treat Alzheimer’s disease could be helpful for people living with type 2. These drugs have shown the potential to prevent or reverse damage within blood vessels that are known to cause cardiovascular disease. Findings were published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.
