Straight Bernard 95 clone hewn of a single 500l Doreau puncheon (14 months), before being bottled in a heavy environmentally unfriendly bottle. A Meursault strut with toasted hazelnut, nougat, peach and oak-embellished complexity, sensitively appointed and beautifully integrated. Very intense, with the extract streamlined, but billowing across the cheeks all at once, making one reach for the next glass. The feel to this is more Californian: buxom but fresh enough despite the relatively soft acidity. NG 13.5% alc.
