53% shiraz from 70yo vines was matured in used oak, 35% 60yo and 80yo grenache in used puncheons, 12% mourvedre in new and used puncheons. A barrel selection was detailed and complex, but has repaid the time taken. It’s a really attractive GSM, the price a mystery given the cost and quality of the wine – a great bargain. 14.5% alc.
