What do you love most about this style of wine?
As the winemaker, I love growing and making Hunter Valley shiraz because of its elegance, drinkability and silkiness. Sourced from our McDonalds Road vineyard, originally planted in 1970, this medium-bodied Hunter shiraz features spicy and earthy characteristics typical of the red clay soil it is grown in. This wine displays deep red fruits, lovely lifted red and blue fruit aromatics as well as soft well-integrated oak and silky tannins.
