With a wine-industry history dating back to 1838 with the arrival of Johan Stein in Australia, this tradition was revived in 1976 when Robert and the Stein family established the vineyard in Mudgee. Today, the winery is a more substantial operation, still owned and operated by the Stein family, with third-generation Jacob now chief winemaker. The winery has established a strong following and reputation for producing award-winning wines from their estate and the wider region, with their rieslings the flagships of the range.
