Highland Heritage vineyard and cellar door is a genuine cool climate vineyard, 890m above sea level. It is a fourthgene­ration DAquino family business, establishe­d in 1985. The family bought the vineyard in 1991, but they have been making wine in Orange since 1946. On 125 hectares, three kilometres east of the city, the vineyard is planted with chardonnay, pinot noir, sauvignon blanc, riesling, shiraz and more. The grape-growing season is October to April, and harvest usually starts in mid-late March and runs to late April.
