2018 WOOD PARK RESERVE KING VALLEY ZINFANDEL

Rich, lustrous red/garnet hues. A wine of substance but not heavy, maintaining a level-headed winemaking approach, which is so often not the case with this variety. Also shows a more primitivo/wild-herbal savouriness than the smart-edged zin we sometimes see. Bramble berry, briar, wild berry, wood-smoke aromas entice. So smooth across the tongue, with truffle, earth and spice gaining traction. Impressive. JP 14.9% alc.
