Winemaker, Andrew Santarossa captures the richness and intrigue of the region’s No. 1 grape very well, pursuing a plush, modern, oak-driven style requiring extensive time in bottle. Dark berries, plum cake, aniseed, dark chocolate panforte and savoury, spicy oak, with firm tannins. Looking a treat now and still a long way to go. JP 14.5% alc.
