2021 GOLDING ROSIE MAY CHARDONNAY

- Darren Golding

Hand-picked fruit, crushed and destemmed, fermented with cultured yeast in a mix of tank and oak. Matured 12 months in French oak (15% new). Complex mealy notes sit across nectarine, peach, preserved lemon and oak spice. Thoroughly whets the appetite with just one whiff. Impressive clarity and fruit concentration. The palate rolls through in creamy, harmonious style with a solid background in bright acidity. Will age well. JP 12.5% alc.

$45 / 2030

What will drinkers be rewarded with if they put this wine in their cellar? And at what point do you believe this wine will be at its peak for drinking?

Our winemaking approach with this chardonnay showcases delicate cool climate varietal fruit characters, with subtle oak influence playing a supporting role. Cellaring for five to seven years will reward you with a wine deeper in complexity, retaining fruit balance but with more prominent toasted nut characters evident over time.
