2021 JOSHUA TREE CLARE VALLEY RIESLING

The 2021 vintage was a godsend for almost all regions in South Australia, and the rieslings from this vintage are typified by balance and restraint across the board. In many cases, the wines produced this year are among the finest in decades – no small feat. This wine is generous and plump in the mouth, littered with green apples, ripe limes, nashi pears and juniper berries, punctuated by pockets of juicy, salty acidity. The wine is glorious now, but it will age gracefully too. EL 12% alc.

While there is an immediate satisfaction in young riesling, truly great rieslings become queens with time in bottle. To develop complexity, palate weight, elegant, layered flavours and gentle textural elements, we suggest tucking this one away for eight to 10 years to develop her potential and ascend her to the throne in full regal glory.
