2018 LANDAIRE RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Made by Pete Bissell. From the Glendon vineyard in Padthaway. Matured for 17 months in French oak (67% new), and a further 2+ years in bottle prior to release. Espresso on the nose, backed by salted licorice, a whiff of campfire, fresh tobacco leaf and blackberri­es. In the mouth, the wine is intensely concentrat­ed, with a pert line of acidity that runs the length of it. This tastes exactly as the nose suggests...earthy, savoury, sweet, engaging and delicious. A lovely wine that will live for many years in the cellar. EL 14.5% alc.

What will drinkers be rewarded with if they put this wine in their cellar? And at what point do you believe this wine will be at its peak for drinking?

Cellar for five to 15 years. A decade will see elegantly developed complexity and layered flavours evolve. Expect cedar and black tea aromas, with a core of cassis fruit run through with bay-leaf, tobacco and sweet spices.
