2019 CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Aged in French oak barriques (40%) new for 2 years. Kym Teusner is a dab hand at coaxing terrific wines out of some of the best vineyards the Barossa has to offer. Pure, balanced and true to both its region and variety, the wine offers gorgeous blackberry and plum fruits, cut through with baking spice, licorice and earth. Pitch-perfect fruit intensity and weight, fine chocolatey tannins and a supple, bright-eyed finish that trails off with detail and clarity. DB 14.5% alc.

When do you believe this wine will be at its peak for drinking?

One of my first great wine experiences was enjoying a carefully cellared cabernet sauvignon with some older mates. The wonderfully silken tannin structure and great acidity of this wine provides an excellent foundation for the concentrated fruit flavours to develop further with careful cellaring. I’m looking forward to seeing this wine in 10–20 years.
