2019 MITCHELTON PRINT SHIRAZ

Plenty of changes over the years for the Print label. Fruit sourcing is now from Heathcote (a good move) and the bottle is bigger and heavier than ever (reasoning for this is less clear). Plush, deep and concentrated, it brings Heathcote shiraz into the limelight, dressing it discreetly in oak and allowing its natural power and elegance to shine. One for the cellar. JP 14.8% alc.

What will drinkers be rewarded with if they put this wine in their cellar? And at what point do you believe this wine will be at its peak for drinking?

This wine is currently youthful and a little boney. It has the intensity of fruit, oak, tannin, and length. With a few years of bottle age it will fill in the mid-palate and the edges will soften. This wine will drink well from 2025–2035.
