At 7 years old this is teetering on the brink of development, walking on the edge of a canyon of toasted honeysuckle, buttered sourdough, red apple and juniper. Precision and minerality await on the palate, underscored by taut acidity and a torrent of sweet fruit that courses over the palate. Many more years left in the tank. EL 12% alc.

What is special about this wine?

The 2014 Museum Release commemorates the inaugural 1986 riesling with a return to the original label artwork created by the late artist Denise Bowen – mother of chief winemaker Nic Bowen. Over time, notes of lemon and lime have softened and given way to flavours such as praline and brioche, and, as our Museum series has shown in the past, it will continue to age, grow and change the longer it’s cellared.
