A brilliant wine! Nascent of feel. Coiled taut, despite bottle age. Already delicious, yet the potential energy a reflection of a very fine year. Buttered toast just evident. Lime splice, orange pastille, lemon curd and pink grapefruit pulp. The acidity, juicy rather than brittle. The trail across the palate, long, a little chalky and refined. Exquisite. Loads in store. NG 11.5% alc.

What makes this wine perfect for drinking all year round?

Five years old on release, this single vineyard semillon is drinking beautifully now, but will reward longer cellaring if you have the patience. Oakey Creek produces classically formed Hunter Valley semillons year after year, and is always one of the best of the vintage.
