Hand-picked fruit, wild fermented in barrel, matured 18 months in French oak (40% new). Nicely delivered complex chardonnay, with some bottle age, that allows the full expression to be revealed. White nectarine, melon, pithy grapefruit and barrel-fermented nutty, nougat savouriness. Smooth and even textural ride on the palate, with a long finish. A study in concentration. JP 12.8% alc.

What makes this wine perfect for drinking all year round?

It has the palate weight to cope with rich comfort food of autumn and winter like classic roast chicken and the zippy acids to go nicely with some garlic scallops or grilled whiting in spring or summer.
