Marsanne is on the rise in the Heathcote wine region. At Humis, in the area’s north, it enjoys the heat and the dry conditions, as reflected here in a wine of both generosity and poise. Jasmine, apple blossom, lemon, grapefruit rind and nectarine scents introduce a wine that quietly goes about its business of providing not only a good drink but a textural, complex wine that can easily having you want more. JP 13.5% alc.
What is special about this wine?
We have been captivated by this varietal and believe it has a bright future at Humis and the Heathcote region. We wait patiently each year for skin to turn a copper hue, then wait some more for texture and depth.
