The oak here is really overt – it sits astride the fruit and rides it, although the fruit seems to be quite beautiful beneath it. Lemon barley, verbena, apple and lanolin. This will likely be a sensational proposition in a year, or 2 or 3 – which gives this current iteration a little time to come together. In summary: love the fruit, bit hesitant on the oak, confident it will all become one. EL 12.5% alc.

What makes this wine perfect for drinking all year round?

Warming oak, complexity and the body of this wine lends it to being enjoyed in cooler months at room temperature. Equally, the wine has lifted honeysuckle, brioche and pear aromas that jump out the glass when the wine is served chilled.
