2019 DRIFTWOOD ESTATE SINGLE SITE CABERNET SAUVIGNON, MARGARET RIVER

With 7/1/1% petit verdot/malbec/cabernet franc. Shaved hung deli meat, blackberry pie, salted black licorice and the sweet gummy character you get off blackcurrant pastilles. In the mouth the tannins are soft and pliable; they coat the tongue and cheeks and blanket the fruit in a velvet sheath. Quite different from the wines from its neighbours, and for that individuality, quite beautiful. EL 14.3% alc.

The proximity to the maritime-influencing Indian Ocean combines with the free-draining gravelly loam soils and 33-year-old Houghton clone cabernet sauvignon to produce the highest quality wine.
