2020 SITTELLA WINES BERNS RESERVE BUCKSHOT RIDGE CABERNET SAUVIGNON, MARGARET RIVER

Concentrated and pert. This is alive, bright and medium bodied, layered with perfumed cassis, raspberry dust and licorice root. A beautiful cabernet that can, and should, be drunk in the short–medium term. Not that it won’t age gracefully (it will), but the vibrancy of fruit is so attractive, now. There is no right or wrong answer in terms of ‘when to drink’ a wine, each of our palates differ, however the freshness of this wine is irresistible to me. EL 14.5% alc.

What is special about the vineyard this wine was made from? Made from our estate vineyard, Buckshot Ridge, located in Margaret River’s premium subregion of Wilyabrup. The vines are planted in pea gravel soils which have attributed to this wines concentration, depth and aromatics. A great single-vineyard wine that is Sittella’s philosophy.
