RIEDEL Extreme Shiraz
A decade later Georg returned to Australia at the behest of Penfolds, who requested RIEDEL workshop a glass specific to Penfolds’ wine style. A cast of Australian winemaking names, including winemaker Peter Gago and Andrew Caillard MW, selected the Extreme Shiraz glass as the winner. Its angular lines and tapered opening highlights and harmonises the fruit-driven profile and regional character of the wines. The Extreme glasses are named after their extreme contours. They have been specifically designed to enhance and emphasise the pleasant softness and generally fruity notes of the New World wines.
