Only 4 barrels selected from the traditional red program, creating a blend of 60/20/20% shiraz/ cabernet sauv/malbec. The nose is fully engaged in its Aussie claret-like mode, oak entwined, and a faint waft of dark mint chocolate. Dried orange even, if you dwell too long, which is easy to do. Full bodied and layered with fine peppery tannins. Drink it now if you are into heavyweight pleasures or wait another 5 years to watch it even out and open up further. TL 14.5% alc.
